Council Team

Our church council includes the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

President
  • Conducts monthly council meetings
  • Signs checks as needed
  • Assist team leaders as needed
  • Assist pastor as needed
  • Conducts Annual Congregational Meeting
  • Appoints nomination committee
  • Communicates with team leaders for agenda items, concerns, or questions.
  • Appoints council position vacancies when terms are not up.

Vice President
  • Heads nomination committee
  • Works with President to set agenda's for council meetings
  • Run council meetings in presidents absence
  • Heads audit committee
  • Assist council members where needed
  • Assist President in supporting church staff
  • Review staff with President
  • Provide leadership and encouragement
  • Coordinates annual summer garage sale

Treasurer
  • Keeps complete set of books on congregational income and expenses
  • Reports to council the income and expenses on a monthly basis
  • Reports to the congregation annually
  • Pays all bills incurred by the congregation and as directed by the council

Secretary
  • Records minutes at council meetings and congregational meetings, regular or specially called.
