Our church council includes the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
President
- Conducts monthly council meetings
- Signs checks as needed
- Assist team leaders as needed
- Assist pastor as needed
- Conducts Annual Congregational Meeting
- Appoints nomination committee
- Communicates with team leaders for agenda items, concerns, or questions.
- Appoints council position vacancies when terms are not up.
Vice President
- Heads nomination committee
- Works with President to set agenda's for council meetings
- Run council meetings in presidents absence
- Heads audit committee
- Assist council members where needed
- Assist President in supporting church staff
- Review staff with President
- Provide leadership and encouragement
- Coordinates annual summer garage sale
Treasurer
- Keeps complete set of books on congregational income and expenses
- Reports to council the income and expenses on a monthly basis
- Reports to the congregation annually
- Pays all bills incurred by the congregation and as directed by the council
Secretary
- Records minutes at council meetings and congregational meetings, regular or specially called.
