The Evangelism team assists with membership and community outreach. Our
opportunities for outreach include: - Assists Pastor with the orientation and worship service for new members.
- Review new member's integration into our church family every few months.
- Suggests ways to improve an atmosphere of friendliness in the congregation.
- Responsible for publicity: yellow pages, newspaper, etc.
- Provides church bulletin board with appropriate themes.
- Maintains a presentable outdoor sign.
- Reviews membership list for signs of inactivity and arrange for contact of
these members.
- Oversees update of pictorial directory.
- Attempts to contact new residents in the community to invite them to
worship.
- Keeps welcome materials up-to-date and in a basket for ushers to distribute.
