Social Concerns

Through our Social Concerns team, we assist with individuals needs within the church and community.

Our responsibilities include:
  • Attend council meetings and obtain a general "feel" of the congregation and their needs.
  • Communicate with the pastor and members regarding group and individual needs within the congregation.
  • Select committee members to lead an facilitate the following activities:
    • Prayer chain
    • Lutheran World Relief
    • Member concerns
      • Meals
      • Hospital visits
      • Phone calls
      • Get well cards
    • Marion Food Pantry
    • Habitat for Humanity
    • Marion Senior Living
    • Marion Council for Churches
